Stephanie Allard Aston comes to the Center with a Bachelor’s Degree in Paralegal Studies and over 27 years of experience in the private sector and in-house counsel areas of litigation, land use, and real estate. In the past ten years, she was able to broaden her litigation experience in defending aging services cases. During this work, and after undergoing a personal experience with her aging father, Stephanie realized it was time to be on the other side for a change; it was time to try to make a difference and assist other Medicare recipients in navigating a very complex system.
As a paralegal at the Center for Medicare Advocacy, Stephanie reviews records for Medicare appeal liability and coverage issues, and presents cases at the Administrative Law Judge level for the Center’s largest client. She also attends outreach events for purposes of educating the public on the Center’s mission as well as pointing them in the right direction for Medicare and other related concerns.
