The Center for Medicare Advocacy has launched its Year-end Campaign and we need your support!
It has been another long year in the fight to save access to quality health care, Medicare, the Affordable Care Act (ACA), and Medicaid. While we did not see the same level of Congressional zeal to repeal the ACA and weaken Medicare and Medicaid, those opposed to these important programs turned their attention to actions designed to quietly sabotage key ACA protections, privatize Medicare, and, ultimately, end the ACA, Medicare and Medicaid as we know them.
The fight continues, and it requires knowledgeable advocates more than ever to ensure people keep access to quality coverage and care. We are determined to provide the expertise, stay engaged, and help individuals get the care they need – but we need your support!
Will You Donate to the Center’s Year-End Campaign and
Support the Continued Fight to Save Access to Health Care?
Last year’s massive tax give-away led to a gaping revenue shortfall. Key senators and policy-makers have clearly indicated their intent to make up for the resulting massive federal deficit by cutting Medicare, Medicaid, and Social Security. While the new Congress may make legislation more difficult, nothing can be taken for granted and non-legislative actions will need to be watched and resisted. We are preparing to respond smartly and quickly to attacks that threaten access to health care and the economic security of older people, people with disabilities, and their families.
Your Support Will Help Us Remain Prepared and Ready to Respond!
Sincerely,
Judith Stein,
Founder and Executive Director
