Maame Gyamfi is Senior Lead Attorney at the AARP Foundation. She advocates nationwide on behalf of vulnerable older adults on matters involving health care, civil rights, elder abuse, and other areas of public interest. Her practice includes litigating in federal and state courts and representing amici before the U.S. Supreme Court. Before coming to the Foundation, Ms. Gyamfi was Senior Counsel at the Office of the Inspector General, U.S. Department of Health and Human Services where she worked on health care fraud and compliance matters. She also served as Attorney-Advisor to the Chairman of the Federal Trade Commission and as a Special Assistant United States Attorney In New York and Florida. She clerked for the Honorable Margaret Seymour in the U.S. District Court for the District of South Carolina.
