On October 6, Center Senior Policy Attorney Toby S. Edelman received the Brian Capshaw Rock Star Award at the annual meeting of the coalition of Presidents of Connecticut’s nursing home resident councils for her national advocacy on behalf of residents. The award, given annually by the Connecticut long-term care ombudsman program and the state’s residents, honors the memory of Brian Capshaw, a tireless, brilliant, and effective resident and resident-advocate at the state and national levels.
